Russian attack on Vinnytsia kills seven-year-old child

A seven-year-old girl who was wounded during Russia’s massive combined attack on Vinnytsia region last night has died in hospital.

The news was reported on Telegram by Nataliia Zabolotna, First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

“The girl was taken to hospital in extremely critical condition. Doctors fought for her life, but unfortunately, they could not save her,” Zabolotna wrote.

According to her, two of the four injured adults have been hospitalized and are in moderate condition. The other two sustained minor injuries and refused hospitalization.

In addition, damage to critical infrastructure and hits on civilian facilities have been recorded across the region.

Twenty-three residential buildings were damaged. One of them, a two-story building housing 21 residents, sustained significant destruction. The families have been evacuated, and inspection commissions are assessing whether the building can still be used.

Emergency crews continue clearing the aftermath of the strike, and firefighting operations are underway at the scene.

As reported earlier, in Vinnytsia region the city of Ladyzhyn was left without water, electricity, and heating as a result of the Russian attack. Local authorities are deploying alternative heating systems and water supply facilities.
