Man killed in Kupiansk district after Russian shelling

On the morning of October 19, Russian forces shelled one of the settlements in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region, killing a 71-year-old local resident.
The Kharkiv Regional Police reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"On October 19, at around 08:30, Russian forces launched another strike on a settlement in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. As a result of enemy attack, likely carried out using a multiple launch rocket system, a 71-year-old local man was killed," the statement reads.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, on October 18, one man was killed and 14 people were injured as a result of Russian shelling in the Kharkiv region.
