Man killed after Russian attack on village in Chernihiv region

Russian forces launched a missile strike on a village in the Chernihiv region yesterday, killing a civilian.

This was reported on Telegram by Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

“The aggressor carried out a missile strike on one of the villages in the Koriukivka district... Agricultural equipment was hit. One vehicle was destroyed, and another was damaged. Unfortunately, a civilian man born in 1978 was killed,” Chaus wrote.

According to him, the attack was likely carried out using an Iskander missile.

In another settlement in the Chernihiv region, a drone strike destroyed a house and damaged a vehicle.

Energy infrastructure in the Nizhyn district was also targeted again, Chaus noted.

In total, the enemy attacked Chernihiv region 40 times over the past day, striking 16 settlements, he added.

As previously reported, on September 29, Russian forces attacked the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region with drones, causing train delays.
