Lieutenant Colonel Oleksii Bielskyi, spokesperson for the Dnipro operational and strategic group of forces, has denied reports claiming that Russian occupiers captured the villages of Ternove and Verbne in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

He made the statement in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“Ternove and Verbne remain fully under the control of Ukrainian Armed Forces units,” Bielskyi emphasized.

According to the spokesperson, several Russian occupation groups infiltrated these settlements between September 27 and 29 with the aim of filming propaganda videos about their supposed “liberation.” These videos were intended for dissemination through Russian media to spread fear and panic among residents of Dnipropetrovsk region. The groups were eliminated by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Bielskyi also reported intensified enemy pressure along the Novopavlivka axis: just yesterday, Russian forces launched 37 offensive actions.

“The invaders once again failed to reach the southern or northern outskirts of the administrative center of the Novopavlivka rural community—the village of Novopavlivka. They have been trying to capture this settlement at any cost since summer. All attacks were repelled,” he stressed.

At the same time, Bielskyi noted that the situation along the entire Novopavlivka defense line remains dynamic, with Ukrainian Armed Forces conducting both defensive and offensive operations.

“Offensive actions are carried out when the occupiers approach strategically important positions for Ukraine’s defense (such as settlements ed.) with the goal of preventing them from consolidating or advancing further,” he explained.

Bielskyi assured that Ukrainian assault units act swiftly to clear Russian occupiers from seized territory and restore it to Ukrainian control. However, he added that a shortage of personnel limits the ability to conduct de-occupation operations along the entire enemy advance line.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Bielskyi earlier refuted claims of Russian advances near the village of Zvirove, southwest of Pokrovsk.
