Russian drone strike hits Kharkiv store, casualties reported
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administratio, Oleh Syniehubov reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform says.
“In Kharkiv’s Kyivskyi district, an enemy UAV hit the roof of a furniture store. Currently, two people are known to have been injured. Medics are providing all the necessary assistance,” his post reads.
Emergency service units are working at the site, the head of the RMA added.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov said that the number of casualties had already risen to three.
“Information has come in about another person injured in the shelling of the shopping center,” the Mayor wrote on Telegram.
According to Syniehubov’s updated report, all of the injured persons are women.
Terekhov later said that a municipal bus carrying passengers was also damaged in the attack, but there were no injuries among those on board.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the evening of September 23, four fires broke out in Kharkiv’s Kholodnohirskyi district as a result of Russian strikes. One person was injured, and about 80,000 residential and commercial customers were left without electricity.
