In the border areas of Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions, hundreds of shellings are recorded daily, as the enemy fires with all available weapons.

This was reported on television by Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service (SBGS), according to Ukrinform.

“The enemy is shelling with all available weapons, and the intensity of the shelling is not decreasing. These are hundreds of attacks recorded per day within these three regions along the border with the aggressor country. Most of the shellings target Sumy and Kharkiv regions. There are fewer in Chernihiv region, but that is not something to be glad about — Chernihiv region also comes under daily attacks,” Demchenko said.

According to him, the enemy is using artillery, mortars, and a large number of drones, both wire-guided and FPV drones. In Sumy and Kharkiv regions, the enemy is actively using aircraft, dropping guided aerial bombs from planes. The targets include both Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions and settlements.

Demchenko added that overall, recently, the number and activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) has been lower compared to last year.

“Attempts continue, but they are not recorded in the same numbers and intensity as before. Previously, such groups could attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders on their own or attempt to mine areas on our territory,” Demchenko said.

As Ukrinform reported, early on September 26, Russian forces struck the Stetskivka community in Sumy region, damaging residential buildings.
