Russian strike leaves part of Shostka without power, three civilians injured

Russian forces attacked Shostka community in Sumy region in the morning, wounding three people and leaving part of the community without electricity.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“In the morning, the enemy once again struck civilian infrastructure in Shostka community. Three men aged 35, 44, and 48 were injured. All were hospitalized, and doctors are providing the necessary care,” the post reads.

Hryhorov also reported that as a result of the strikes, part of Shostka district was left without power.

“Critical infrastructure is operating on backup power, and there are communication disruptions. Points of Invincibility have been deployed, and repair work is ongoing,” the statement added.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, overnight on August 26 Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Sumy community, with rescuers working at three sites.
