Russians carry out massive attack on Sumy and Bezdryk communities at night

This was reported on Telegram by the Sumy regional State Emergency Service, according to Ukrinform.

“On the night of August 26, Russia launched a massive attack on the Sumy and Bezdryk communities. Large-scale fires broke out. Rescuers had to work simultaneously at three different locations,” the report said.

As noted, non-residential premises and homes of civilians were on fire.

“Despite the high fire load, all sources of combustion were localized,” the State Emergency Service reported.

According to preliminary information, two people were injured.

Ukrinform reported that during the day, from the morning of August 25 to the morning of August 26, 2025, Russian troops carried out 90 shellings of 31 settlements in 15 territorial communities of the region, resulting in destruction and injuries.
