In Crimea, internet shutdown disrupts ATMs and card payments in stores – National Resistance Center

This was reported by the National Resistance Center (NRC) on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea are flooding the NRC chatbot with messages. The peninsula has been without internet for over a week, and the situation is becoming critical. People complain that it is impossible to pay by card in stores because the cash registers are not working. ATMs are “dead,” and withdrawing cash is a problem. Bread, water, and medicine are in short supply. Several stores are selling on credit, but there are long lines and empty shelves,” the message says.

Residents of the peninsula say they are trapped by circumstances.

“We are literally hostages. To get cash, you have to go to another city. What are retirees supposed to do?” they complain.

As reported by Ukrinform, the occupiers are massively shutting down mobile communications and the internet in Crimea.
