Russian drone strike on Sumy kills 60-year-old woman

Russian forces have once again targeted the city of Sumy with a drone, killing a 60-year-old woman.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported the attack on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Another Russian drone strike in Sumy has claimed the life of a 60-year-old woman," the statement read.

According to the military administration, the attack occurred at around 15:00 and targeted a social infrastructure facility. Several buildings and vehicles were damaged in the strike.

Emergency services are on the scene, providing assistance to those affected and assessing the full extent of the damage.

Authorities have warned that the threat of additional strikes remains.

On Tuesday, July 22, after 13:00, Russian drones struck the Sumy community, with impacts confirmed in the Kovpakivskyi district of the city. Civilian infrastructure was damaged, and two people were reported injured.
