
Russia’s war casualty toll up by 1,340 over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to May 4, 2025 amount to approximately 956,810 personnel, including 1,340 in the past 24 hours alone.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.

In addition, Russian forces have lost: 10,758 tanks (+11), 22,403 armored combat vehicles (+24), 27,327 artillery systems (+52), 1,376 multiple launch rocket systems (+1), 1,155 air defense systems (+1), 372 aircraft (+2), 335 helicopters (+0), 34,860 tactical-level UAVs (+163), 3,196 cruise missiles (+0), 28 warships/boats (+0), one submarine (+0), 47,141 vehicles and fuel tankers (+129), 3,870 units of special equipment (+0).
As Ukrinform previously reported, on May 2, Ukrainian Defense Intelligence forces destroyed a Russian Su-30 fighter jet using a Magura naval drone.
