Night without Shahed UAVs: Air defense forces shoot down two missiles in Zaporizhzhia sector
This information was confirmed through the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s statistics, shared via Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to the report, at approximately 21:00 on March 31, the enemy launched two Kh-59/69 missiles from tactical aircraft targeting the Zaporizhzhia sector. Both missiles were shot down by air defense units.
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, commented in a Telegram message: “There were no strike UAVs. We are monitoring further, but it does not mean anything.”
The Air Force highlighted that Russia had previously reduced its pace of Shahed drone strikes on the night of March 14, 2025, when Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 16 drones. Additionally, nine enemy decoy drones were neutralized locally that night.
As earlier reported, on March 31, Russian invaders carried out 226 attacks targeting 13 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. These strikes killed one woman and injured five others in Malokaterynivka.
