Russian airstrike hits Kupiansk: one man killed, woman injured

A Russian airstrike on Kupiansk in the evening of March 19 claimed the life of one man and left a woman with multiple injuries.

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“At around 20:50 today, Russian invaders once again used aviation to terrorize civilians. The strike caused a fire in a garage. A 51-year-old local man was killed. A 54-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalized,” the statement reads.

This was the fifth strike on Kupiansk throughout Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, at around 10:00, Russian forces shelled the town setting a private house on fire. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

Around 15:00, the Russians launched another airstrike at Kupiansk with a glide bomb wounding an 85-year-old woman.

At 15:20, the enemy carried out yet another airstrike causing a fire in a garage. A 76-year-old man experienced acute stress.

At approximately 16:00, Russian troops hit an administrative building, sparking another fire inside the premises.
