Ukraine denies reports of Russian forces capturing Zybyne in Kharkiv region
According to Ukrinform, the 16th Army Corps reported this on Facebook and released a corresponding video.
“The enemy continues to use the so-called ‘settlement on credit’ tactic announcing the capture of settlements without actually establishing control over them,” the statement reads.
As noted by the military, “Russian online media outlets, as part of their claims of success in the Kharkiv direction, have disseminated information regarding the capture of the settlement of Zybyne, which does not correspond to the actual operational situation in the area.”
“The enemy, using units from the 127th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 71st Motorized Rifle Division, continues assault operations and is attempting to expand the ‘controlled zone,’” the 16th Army Corps reported.
As noted by the military, the advance of Russian assault groups was detected and they were hit.
Eight invaders were killed, and four more were wounded. Additionally, a quad bike was lost.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian invading forces have seized several settlements directly along the border in the Sumy region, but all attempts to infiltrate deeper into Ukrainian territory are being promptly thwarted.
