The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has gathered evidence to prosecute four collaborators who hold leadership positions in the so-called "municipal administrations" of the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

The SBU's Main Directorate for the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The suspects actively cooperated with the occupation forces. Among them is a resident of Lutuhyne, who has worked in occupation authorities since 2014.

In March 2024, she assisted in organizing sham elections in the Luhansk region. In June, she was appointed "deputy head of the administration of the LPR's Lutuhyne Municipal District."

Another suspect, a former head of the housing and utilities department from Kadiivka (formerly Stakhanov), has collaborated with the occupying regime since the onset of Russian aggression. He currently serves as "deputy head of the administration of the Alchevsk Municipal District."

The SBU has also forwarded cases to court against the "first deputy head" of the occupation administration in Rubizhne and "deputy head" of the administration in Sievierodonetsk.

One of the suspects, a former local enterprise director, became deputy to the then-occupation "mayor" of Rubizhne in early 2024. That mayor has already been sentenced in absentia to ten years for collaborationism.

Another collaborator, a former head of the economic department at the Sievierodonetsk Military-Civil Administration, has been working for the occupiers since March 2024. She currently holds the position of "deputy head of the Sievierodonetsk Municipal District."

The individuals face charges under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for collaborationism. If convicted, they could face up to ten years in prison with asset confiscation.
