Eight civilians including minor injured in Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk
This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.
"On March 13, 2025, the armed forces of the aggressor state launched another strike on Kostiantynivka, using the Smerch multiple rocket launcher system to target the town," the statement reads.
It is noted that the attack hit a residential area, where a 46-year-old man and his 49-year-old wife sustained blast injuries, concussions, and hand abrasions.
Russian forces also attacked Pokrovsk hitting civilian homes.
"As a result of the destruction of a house, a 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were injured. Additionally, their 15-year-old son was wounded. The victims sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and concussions," the prosecutor's office specified.
According to the prosecutor's office, the enemy later launched another attack on the frontline town. As a result, three more civilians were hospitalized: a 50-year-old woman and two men, aged 46 and 51, who were inside a local store during the shelling. They suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the arm, shoulder, and neck.
The type of weapon used by the enemy is being determined. All victims have received medical assistance.
Residential buildings and a store were damaged in the attacks.
Prosecutors are taking all possible measures to document the invaders' attacks on civilians. Under the procedural guidance of the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk District Prosecutor's Offices, pretrial investigations have been launched into war crimes (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported, as of March 12, 2025, 44 civilians have been killed and 134 injured in the Donetsk region due to Russian shelling since the beginning of March.
