Ukraine must enhance its weapons' ability to bypass Russian electronic warfare and air defense systems, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

He said this in his evening address following a special military technology meeting on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, I held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief focused on technology -- primarily on our drones and their long-range strike capabilities. We analyzed recent deployments, strike effectiveness, and our most efficient drone models. The meeting included military officials, government representatives, and, most importantly, our defense industry producers. We discussed many technical details today. A key takeaway: we must expand our weapons' ability to overcome Russian EW and air defenses," Zelensky said.

He said that discussions also centered on scaling up drone production, which requires contracts, funding, and investment from international partners. Ukrainian manufacturers presented concrete technological solutions. A follow-up meeting is scheduled in ten days to review progress.

Zelensky said that drone production and continuous modernization are critical for deterring Russia and ensuring Ukraine's long-term security.

"And this will also be our international advantage -- how we will be able to export security after this war. There is already huge interest from our friends around the world in Ukrainian developments, in our capabilities, our technological manufacturing. Ukrainians have shown in this war how much drones can do to protect positions and save lives, and have demonstrated how important it is to constantly develop the unmanned component. Of course, this will be our economic advantage in relations with other partners. But after the war," Zelensky said.

Now, he said, it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of the use of Ukrainian weapons.

"Everything that will be achieved for Ukrainian security now will work for Ukraine for years and decades," Zelensky said.
