
Two seek medical assistance in Kharkiv as Russian drone hits apartment block
That’s according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, Ukrinform reports.
"As a result of the strike, the roof and technical floor of a high-rise apartment block were affected. There was a small fire. The elevator shaft, partially the technical floor, and the facade of the slabs between the 9th and technical floors were destroyed," the officcial wrote.
In addition, windows in nearby buildings and eight cars were damaged. People are being evacuated from the part of the building.
"The two affected residents suffered an acute reaction to stress," the mayor added, noting that emergency services and volunteers scrambled to the scene to tackle the consequences of the attack.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, clarified that the downed Geran UAV debris inflicted damage on nine apartment blocks and an educational facility. The fire that broke out has already been put out.
Earlier, Terekhov reported that an enemy drone hit an apartment block in Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi district.
