In February, the Russian Federation increased not only the number of bombardments in eastern Ukraine’s war zone, but also the number of bombs released in each attack.

This was stated on national television by the spokesman for the Luhansk Operational-Tactical Grouping of Troops, Dmytro Zaporozhets, Ukrinform reports.

Citing generalized data, he said the enemy in January launched 253 airstrikes while in February that number increased to 333.

"If we calculate the total number of guided aerial bombs (KABs) used by the enemy, not only the number of airstrikes has increased, but also the number of bombs dropped in each such attack. In January the enemy used an average of two to three KABs per airstrike, but today the number has increased as it can now reach four to five, and in some cases up to nine bombs per strike," Zaporozhets added.
