The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), on behalf of the global Ukrainian community, has expressed strong support for President Volodymyr Zelensky and the people of Ukraine as they continue their fight against Russian aggression.

This statement was made by UWC President Paul Grod and published on the organization's website, Ukrinform reports.

The Congress emphasized that recent discussions in Washington highlight the importance of international solidarity in ensuring Ukraine has the necessary support to prevail and secure a just and lasting peace. Ukraine's commitment to sharing its critical resources, including rare earth minerals, demonstrates its dedication to strengthening global partnerships and advancing shared security and economic interests.

"We urge the United States to take decisive steps to support Ukraine's victory, ensuring it has the military, economic, and political backing required to end Russia's brutal war. A strong and sovereign Ukraine is vital to regional stability, global security, and the defense of democratic values worldwide," the UWC statement read.

The statement also noted that President Trump recognizes the significance of the United States signing the agreement with Ukraine on critical resources, particularly rare earth minerals. Prompt action on this matter would be a positive step for both nations in enhancing their relationship and moving towards a lasting peace that encompasses essential security measures.

"Now is the time for steadfast action. We call on all allies to continue standing with Ukraine, reinforcing the support that will lead to a just and lasting peace for all of Europe," Grod added.

President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the United States on February 28.

During a joint press conference, a disagreement arose between Trump and Zelensky, after which the Ukrainian leader left the White House early.
