
Russians launch six attacks on Sumy region border areas
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA) on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Overnight and in the morning, the Russians conducted six attacks on the border territories and settlements of Sumy region. A total of 11 explosions were recorded. The attacks targeted Sadivska, Yunakivska, Krasnopilska, and Velykopysarivska communities," the statement reads.
According to the RMA, Krasnopilska community was hit by a guided aerial bomb (one explosion) and artillery shelling (six explosions). The attack damaged an administrative building, private houses, and garage facilities.
In Yunakivska community, two guided aerial bomb strikes were recorded, while in Velykopysarivska community, the enemy dropped a fragmentation grenade from a drone (one explosion).
Sadivska community was also attacked by a drone (one explosion), resulting in damage to four private houses, two farm buildings, and two cars.
Additionally, Valentyna Nazarenko, head of the Romny District Administration, reported on Facebook that around 01:45 on March 1, a Russian drone struck a private household in Romny community. Preliminary reports indicate that three houses were damaged, and the area is still being inspected. There were no casualties among civilians.
As previously reported, Russian strikes in Sumy region have damaged houses, a dormitory, and a business office in Sadivska community.
On March 1, air defense units shot down 11 Russian drones over Sumy region.
