Ukrainian forces shoot down 113 Russian drones, 71 more disappear from radar

The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 113 drones used by the Russian army to attack Ukraine.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Starting from 20:00 on Sunday, 23 February, Russians attacked Ukraine with 185 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones launched from the following directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).

Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups repelled the enemy air attack.

As of 08:00 on Monday, 24 February, 113 Shahed UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

As many as 71 enemy decoy drones were lost from tracking (without negative consequences).

The enemy attack affected the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.
