Russian strike on high-rise building in Kherson: Six injured, 15 apartments destroyed

As a result of Russia’s attack on Kherson on the night of February 20, 15 apartments were destroyed, windows were smashed in 80 homes, and six people were injured, including two twin children who are now in hospital.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Fifteen apartments were destroyed by the strike, from the 1st to the 10th floor of one of the sections. In addition, windows were smashed in 80 homes.

There have been reports of six victims, two of whom were rescued by the State Emergency Service from the 8th and 9th floors of the destroyed building.

“The twins, a boy and a girl, who are 14 years old, are in the hospital. Doctors assess their condition as satisfactory,” the post reads.

A 47-year-old man was also hospitalized. He was in the room of the parking lot attendant near the site of the strike. The regional governor said he suffered a fragmentary wound and a broken leg bone.

Three more men were treated by paramedics at the scene.

The operational headquarters of the Kherson RMA has been deployed at the site of another Russian terrorist attack.

About 120 people and 35 pieces of equipment are involved in the rescue operation. These include rescuers, police, medics, utility workers, volunteers, and city officials.

There may still be people trapped under the rubble.

As reported by Ukrinform, around midnight on February 20, a Russian glide bomb hit a high-rise building in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson.
