The Netherlands will transfer 25 tracked armored vehicles to Ukraine for the evacuation of the wounded.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the Dutch Ministry of Defense.

“The Netherlands is handing over 25 YPR tracked armored vehicles to Ukraine to transport the wounded. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans during a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine,” the statement said.

It is noted that more than 50 countries took part in the meeting to coordinate military support for Ukraine. The meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense was held in Brussels and chaired by the United Kingdom for the first time.

“We are approaching a sad milestone - three years of full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine. For three years now, Ukrainians have been fighting for their future, as well as for our freedom and security. The Netherlands has pledged more than 10 billion euros in military aid, of which about 6 billion has already been provided. Especially now, when the Ukrainians are having a hard time on the battlefield, we must continue to provide them with unrelenting support. Peace against Russia is only possible through military force,” said Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans.

The minister also said that the Netherlands has already handed over the last promised T-72 battle tanks to Ukraine in cooperation with the Czech Republic and the United States.
