Russian strike on Poltava: Injured man dies in hospital, death toll rises to 15

A man who had been in a coma for a week after being injured in a Russian strike on Poltava on February 1 died in hospital.

That’s according to Suspilne, citing the wife of the deceased, Ukrinform reports.

“After being in a coma for a week, Mykhailo Derevianov, who suffered a shrapnel wound to the head as a result of a missile attack on February 1, died in a Poltava hospital,” the report says.

During the Russian missile attack on a residential building in Poltava on February 1, a fragment hit Mykhailo in the head. The man was hospitalized and remained in a coma in the intensive care unit for a week. He is survived by a son.

Thus, the death toll from the Russian attack on February 1 increased to 15.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 1, a Russian missile hit an apartment building in Poltava, destroying the section from the first to the fifth floors. Three children aged 7, 9 and 12 were among the dead.
