Ballistic missile strike on Izium: injury toll rises to 38, five killed

The number of injured in Izium, Kharkiv region, has increased to 38, with seven people hospitalized, including a child in critical condition.

This was reported on Telegram by Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, according to Ukrinform.

"Three people are in extremely critical condition, the most severe being a 15-year-old girl. Currently, a total of seven people have been hospitalized, but the number may increase," Syniehubov said.

According to him, the total number of victims has risen to 38.

"The missile's flight time was very short, leaving people with no time to reach shelters," Syniehubov noted.

The State Emergency Service reported on Facebook that search and rescue operations at the site of the enemy missile strike have been completed.

As previously reported, in the afternoon of February 4, the Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on the central part of Izium, Kharkiv region, killing five people. At 13:40, 34 people were known to be injured, including a child.

The missile hit an administrative building, damaging other government offices and residential buildings.
