Missile strike on Poltava: death toll rises to 12

The death toll from the missile strike launched by the Russian forces on Poltava on February 1 has risen to 12, including two children.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

"The death toll has increased to 12 people, including two children," the report states.

A total of 17 people were injured, including four children aged three months, two years, eight years, and twelve years; 22 people were rescued.

Additionally, psychologists from the SES and National Police assisted 194 people, including 11 children.

"An apartment block from the 1st to the 5th floor was destroyed, and a fire broke out. Nearby buildings and 12 cars were also damaged. Rescue operations are ongoing," the SES reported.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported 11 dead and 16 injured, including four children, as a result of the missile strike on Poltava.
