Casualties as Russia hits infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia

Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia during an air raid as an infrastructure facility was hit and casualties were reported on the ground.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported the blasts in the city via Telegram.

"Explosions in Zaporizhzhia region," the publication says.

"The enemy hit an infrastructure facility in Zaporizhia. There are casualties, tentative reports say. More details to come," the head of the regional military administration added.

An administrative building on the industrial facility's premises has been destroyed, Fedorov wrote later, updating his report.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the explosions were heard at around 6:00 local time. In some areas of the city, flashes from explosions were visible in the sky.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, during the night, Russian strike drones again attacked Ukraine from various directions.
