Nine killed, 20 injured: aftermath of Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia

The strikes occurred between 17:57 and 18:05. The first strike targeted a residential area in the regional center, destroying a car repair shop (STO) and damaging nearby homes and shops.
The second strike hit an open area in Zaporizhzhia district.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES) in Zaporizhzhia, seven of the airstrike victims were burned to death in vehicles.
"As of 21:00, nine people were reported killed, seven of them in cars. Twenty people were injured, including two children aged four and 11. Information about the casualties is being updated," the rescue service reported.
Chief of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, noted that a four-month-old girl was among the injured.
Rescue teams extinguished fires in six cars over an area of 30 square meters and at the car repair shop, which covered 250 square meters.
Police officers, rescue workers, and other relevant services are actively working at the strike sites.
As reported earlier, the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia on the evening of December 6 resulted in nine fatalities. At least one of the injured is in critical condition.
