The list of Ukrainian prisoners of war who were allegedly "on board the downed IL-76 aircraft" published by Russian propagandists includes the names of people who were exchanged earlier.

This was stated by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets to Sky News, Ukrinform reports.

"Yes, we have found in this list the citizens of Ukraine who have already been exchanged before," Lubinets said.

It is noted that the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also reported today that at least one person from the list returned to Ukraine during the exchange on January 3.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on January 24, an Il-76 aircraft, which is used to transport military equipment and troops, crashed in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

Sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the plane was carrying missiles for the S-300 air defense system, which the invaders use for massive shelling of Kharkiv and other border regions of Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that the plane "was carrying 65 captured Ukrainian servicemen," six crew members and three escorts.
