Ukrainian soldiers advance south of Bakhmut - General Staff

The Military Media Center reports this on Telegram, citing the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalev, as reported by Ukrinform.

"Ukrainian troops are advancing south of the city of Bakhmut, in that area they are consolidating the achieved positions. On the southern front, the Defense Forces are conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, and have succeeded in the direction of Novoprokopivka," the statement said.

As reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 258,820 Russian aggressors from February 24, 2022, to August 23, 2023, and another 480 people were killed in the last day.
