Russia keeps 10 ships in Black Sea - no missile carriers
Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command South, said this on the air of the telethon 'United News,' according to Ukrinform.
"There are currently 10 Russian ships in the Black Sea, but there are no missile carriers among them. Yesterday, an underwater missile carrier was brought to the basing point, but it has not been involved anymore," Humeniuk said.
In addition, she informed that the enemy is currently conducting powerful aerial reconnaissance.
"We observe this in the activity of unmanned aerial vehicles and aviation in general. It is likely that in this way they are again looking for targets for future attacks," said the head of the Joint Press Center of Operational Command South.
Humeniuk noted that the main characteristic of Russian shipping now is that they are trying to stay as far away as possible, and the area that they thought was safe is no longer so. But, according to her, the Russians are building a shield of civilians for themselves - they artificially suspend civilian shipping by creating a so-called inspection area before entering the Kerch Strait, and then try to maneuver their military capabilities in it.
As reported, from February 24, 2022, to August 11, 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 252,780 Russian invaders, with another 580 people killed over the past day.
