No new Russian strike groups observed in Ukraine’s south - military spox
That’s according to the chief press officer of Operational Command South Natalia Humeniuk, who spoke at the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"We keep clearing the strip of the Dnipro’s left bank. Meanwhile, the enemy keeps shelling right bank. On average, we record 55 strikes per day. They are experiencing munitions starvation but they’re trying to fix the issue by pulling in and maneuvering their forces and reserves. We are not observing any new strike formations, but the enemy is carrying out maneuvers involving available forces," Humeniuk said.
She added that in the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated 47 Russian soldiers and destroyed two electronic warfare systems, four large-caliber artillery systems, and plenty of armored fighting vehicles in the Southern operational zone.
Humeniuk also noted that the enemy continues aerial reconnaissance efforts as their unmanned aerial vehicles fly up as far as Mykolaiv region.
The chief press officer said that, while suffering losses in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russians are pulling forces to the area in a bid to restore the combat capability of their units.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, last night the Russian military shelled Kherson twice involving artillery, injuring two civilians.
