No Russian missile carriers spotted in Black Sea
The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“There are no Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea, but they are staying within home stations,” Humeniuk told.
In her words, such a long pause, when missile carriers do not go on combat duty, may indicate that they are staying combat ready at home stations and can set off within an hour.
“With no enemy missile carriers on combat duty, we do not change the high level of threat, as the occupiers sometimes launch strikes directly from the bays. It is very dangerous, both to a missile carrier itself and ships nearby, but they do follow such practice,” Humeniuk added.
A reminder that the International Maritime Organization (IMO) urged Russia to comply with conventions and stop threatening merchant shipping in the Black Sea.
