In Bakhmut direction, 15 combat engagements recorded, Russians shell Ukrainian positions 408 times

Spokesperson for the Eastern Grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevatyi said this during a nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"The Bakhmut direction remains a direction where the initiative has been taken by our Defense Forces. On the northern and southern flanks, our units are pressuring the enemy, storming its positions. Therefore, the enemy is resisting, fired at our positions 408 times throughout the day, launched an air strike. In total, during the day, in this direction, there were 15 combat engagements, 77 occupiers were killed, 172 were wounded, two were captured. In addition, two tanks, one armored fighting vehicle, seven guns, two self-propelled artillery systems, Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system, an anti-tank missile system and one drone were destroyed,” said Cherevatyi.

He noted that a general description of the Russian army could be made from the Russian prisoners of war: not very educated, poorly equipped, with very weak motivation.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Forces of Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to July 15, 2023 eliminated about 237,180 Russian invaders, including 590 occupiers on July 14.
