France to increase military aid to Ukraine by EUR 170M

The Ukrainian and French defense ministers have signed an agreement at the NATO summit in Vilnius, which provides for an increase in military aid to Ukraine.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, in Vilnius, we signed an Agreement between the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and France. Military aid to Ukraine will increase by EUR 170 million. The process for procurement and supply of weapons to Ukraine will be simplified. A framework is being established for the joint production of spare parts and maintenance of foreign weapons and equipment," he wrote.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on the first day of the NATO summit that France would supply Ukraine with SCALP long-range missiles, already supplied by London under the name "Storm Shadow."
