Lots of explosives drifting in Black Sea - Humeniuk
Ukrinform
There are still many pockets of garbage, debris, and explosives in the sea that were washed up from enemy positions after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command South, said this on the air of the national telethon "United News," Ukrinform reports.
"There are still many pockets of debris, wreckage and any accumulation of other items that can drift by sea, and from time to time they can be brought to the coast. Among these things can be very dangerous, including deliberately mined objects. Therefore, the danger remains very high," said Humeniuk.
She noted that there had been stormy weather for several days, so it is likely that anything could come to the shore now.
The spokeswoman emphasized that the coast remains a defense zone, a danger zone, not a recreation area.
