Nine Russian cruise missiles, three drones downed over Dnipropetrovsk region

On the night of June 24, 2023, Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed nine Russian cruise missiles and three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Lysak on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Lysak mentioned that the detached house suburbs had been reported hit in the city of Dnipro. According to the preliminary data, eight civilians were injured, including two boys, 9 and 16. Four people were taken to hospital.

Rescuers extinguished a fire at the scene. Four detached houses were ruined completely, and 25 more houses were damaged. Five household buildings were struck. About two dozens of cars and a gas pipeline were seriously hit.

According to Lysak, another Russian projectile struck an infrastructure object. The details are yet to be checked.

Additionally, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol district with heavy artillery several times. The enemy targeted the Marhanets community and the city of Nikopol. Two detached houses were damaged. No casualties were reported.
