Enemy holds submarine with four Kalibr missiles on board in Black Sea
Head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command "South" Nataliia Humeniuk said this on the air of the national telethon "United News", Ukrinform reports.
"The ship group continues to sail in the same area, staying closer to Russian ports and gravitating to the eastern coast of Crimea so as not to be hit by our long-range weapons. But the eight-ship grouping includes an underwater missile launcher. This is a boat equipped with four Kalibr missiles. Let me remind you that launches from a submarine are more difficult to detect. That is why, when a submarine is on duty, the level of missile danger remains high and airborne alarms must be taken into account and responded to very quickly," emphasized Humeniuk.
She noted that the enemy is trying to attack from different directions, using aviation and bypassing air defense systems, in particular, the southern ones, and also uses the temporarily occupied Kherson region to bring missiles as far as possible undetected. However, he fails, the spokeswoman added.
As Ukrinform reported, the day before, Russian troops kept five ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including one Kalibr cruise missile carrier.
