Over the past week, the losses of the Russian occupation army totaled 4,600 service members killed and wounded.

Natalia Kostenko, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, said this at the meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The enemy continues to suffer significant losses. In the past week alone, the Russian army lost 4,600 service members killed and wounded," she said.

Kostenko pointed out that the military operations intensify along the entire front line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue carrying out both offensive and defensive operations in various areas.

"The strategic goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the liberation of all occupied territories. Success at the front is measured not only by advancing. Success is also measured by the goal to inflict the largest possible losses on the enemy and weaken its logistics and supply system in the rear," said the Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to OSCE.

She informed the delegations of the participating states that the Ukrainian military is advancing confidently and liberated eight settlements over the past week. In general, over the two weeks of counteroffensive operations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 103 sq km of territory.

In addition, the Ukrainian troops continue to conduct a counteroffensive operation in Bakhmut area, advancing on the flanks and improving their tactical positions.

Kostenko emphasized that international military aid to Ukraine "becomes increasingly important" against the background of ongoing intense hostilities. "Heavy armored vehicles, in particular tanks, modern air defense systems and combat aircraft, are especially needed to liberate the sovereign territories of Ukraine from the occupiers," the Ukrainian diplomat said.
