General Staff: 49 combat engagements recorded in four sectors of front in past day

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions - 49 combat clashes have been recorded there over the past 24 hours," the report says.

At night, between 00:20 to 04:30 on June 15, 2023, the Russian invaders launched another missile attack on Ukraine with Kh-101/Kh-555 air-based cruise missiles, as well as Shahed attack drones.

Four Kh-101/X-555 cruise missiles were launched from four Tu-95ms strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea. One of the missiles was intercepted, while the rest hit industrial facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The enemy launched Iranian-made Shahed drones from the northern and southern directions. All 20 strike drones were destroyed.

According to the updated information, over the past day, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with six Kh-22 air-based cruise missiles, four Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles and seven Iranian-made Shahed-type attack drones.

Nine aerial targets were intercepted: three Kalibr cruise missiles and six Iranian-made Shahed attack drones.

In total, in the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 38 air strikes and 52 MLRS attacks.

The probability of further missile attacks and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Vesele. The Russian forces launched an air strike on Ivanivka, Donetsk region. Kyslivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Serebrianka in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around Yahidne and Berkhivka. They launched air strikes on the settlements of Spirne, Rozdolivka, Levadne, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka and Bila Hora. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Druzhba, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, Sukha Balka, New York, Troitske, and Pivdenne of Donetsk region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy attempted to conduct offensive actions in the area of Avdiivka, but had no success. Airstrikes were recorded there, as well as in Novobakhmutivka. The enemy used artillery to shell the settlements of Vesele, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Umanske, Semenivka, Vodiane, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, Novokalynove and Nevelske in Donetsk region.

In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 14 strikes on the areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Units of the Ukrainian missile forces and artillery hit 13 Russian manpower clusters, two command posts, three anti-aircraft missile systems and three radio electronic warfare stations of the enemy.
