In the southern direction, the intensity of shelling by Russian troops decreased a bit, at the same time the invaders focused their attacks on the rear regions.

Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command South, said this on the air of the national telethon "United News," an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The intensity of the shelling has somewhat decreased, in particular because they (the invaders - ed.) had to pull back their positions and re-organize on new defense lines. In particular, there were 38 attacks on this day. Previously, we recorded 50-70 attacks per day, but now this figure is somewhat lower. And the enemy is trying to use the most powerful shells that will cause more destruction," said Humeniuk.

According to her, the Russian army continues to shell the right-bank of the Kherson region, where humanitarian evacuation in flooded areas continues. In particular, the day before Kherson was attacked four times, Kizomys and Bilozirka also suffered powerful blows.

The spokesperson noted that the invaders are now trying to target the rear regions.

"We can see that the enemy's long-range attacks are aimed at the rear regions, which, according to the enemy, should be a supply area for the front line," she said.

As reported, at night on June 14, the Air Defense Forces destroyed three out of four Kalibr cruise missiles and nine out of 10 Shahed-136/131 drones launched by the enemy.

In particular, four Kalibr cruise missiles were launched from the Black Sea in the direction of the Odesa region, three of which were shot down.

From the east coast of the Azov Sea, the invaders struck with 10 Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack drones in the southeast.
