
In Kherson region, water drops by 27 centimeters since yesterday
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"There is a downward decline in the water level, as of this morning the average flooding level is 2 m 70 cm, which is 27 cm less than last night," the statement said.
On the right bank, 3,600 houses in 31 settlements remain flooded - last day the water receded from 200 houses.
According to Prokudin, the rescue operation involves 1,660 people and more than 213 pieces of equipment. The company has managed to rescue 2,757 people from the flooded settlements, including 263 children and 77 people with limited mobility. They have been resettled in temporary evacuation centers or moved to other regions.
According to the head of the RMA, the situation on the occupied left bank remains critical, with 17 settlements under water, and the invaders are not rushing to rescue people in any of them.
"We are doing everything possible to rescue our people from there, so far we have managed to evacuate 133 people from the left bank," said the head of the RMA.
As reported, at night on June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
As of June 12, 46 cities, towns, and villages in the Kherson region remained under water - 32 on the right bank and 14 on the left bank. On the liberated territory, 3801 houses were flooded.
