Russians shell Sumy region - hit orphanage
The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"At night and in the morning, the Russians fired eight times at the border communities. 27 explosions were recorded. Esman, Bilopillya, Seredina-Buda communities were shelled," the statement reads.
As noted, shelling from mortars (16 explosions) and cannon artillery (five explosions) was recorded in the Bilopillia community. As a result of the shelling, fire broke out on the roof of the assembly hall of the orphanage.
In addition, the enemy dropped four mines on the territory of the community in Seredyna-Buda. The shelling damaged a shop.
There was a mortar attack in the Esman community (two explosions).
As Ukrinform reported, yesterday Russians fired 12 times at border communities during the day. 55 explosions were recorded. The Yunakivska, Esman, Krasnopillia, Vorozhbiansk, Novosloboda, Bilopillia and Velyka Pysarivka communities were shelled.
