Russians shell Sumy, Chernihiv regions five times since day-start - Command

Since midnight, the Russian invasion forces shelled the areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions bordering Russia five times.

Twenty-six explosions were reported in the affected areas, says Operational Command North, according to Ukrinform.

From 02:30 to 02:40, three hits were reported, likely barrel artillery, near Zarutske.

From 03:00 to 03:15, two hits were recorded, likely barrel artillery, in the Tymonovychi area.

From 02:30 to 03:10, six hits were confirmed, likely barrel artillery, in the Khotiivka area.

From 04:30 to 04:35, came five hits, likely an 82mm mortar, in the area of Seredyna-Buda.

From 06:00 to 06:25, a total of 10 hits were recorded, likely a 120mm mortar: three in the Tovstodubovo area and seven – in the area of Sopych.

There were no reports of casualties among the civilian population or damage to infrastructure.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on Sunday, June 11, Russian troops attacked a number of communities in Sumy region bordering Russia five times, employing artillery and mortars. In one of the towns, the enemy strike damaged some apartment blocks and a power line.
