How to get psychological help for victims of Kakhovka HPP explosion - explanation

Citizens who suffered from the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant can receive psychological help.

This was reported by Ukrinform citing the website of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

"To help people cope with stressful events, groups of first psychological aid service providers are working in Kherson and the surrounding regions," the statement said.

Teams of psychosocial support specialists, mobile teams of psychologists and humanitarian response teams are ready to provide a range of psychological services to Kherson residents at any time.

Detailed information about the provider of first psychological aid services, as well as the types of assistance, region, and contact person, can be found in the table here. The information is actualized and updated there.

The table was prepared by the Coordination Center for Mental Health under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in cooperation with the MHPSS Technical Working Group, led by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Medical Corps.

As reported, on the night of June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. In the Kherson region, evacuation of the population from dangerous places at risk of flooding as a result of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant explosion has begun. Law enforcement officers have opened an investigation into the occupiers' explosion of the Kakhovka HPP under the article "ecocide."

Ukrhydroenergo said that Kakhovka HPP was completely destroyed and cannot be restored.

More than 3,000 people were evacuated from the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions after the enemy blew up the Kakhovka HPP.
