The United States continues to gather information about Tuesday's drone attack on Moscow in order to have a full picture of what happened.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said this at a briefing on Tuesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We've seen the news and are, certainly, gathering information about what happened to get a better perspective and some clarity about what happened," she said.

At the same time, as a general matter, Jean-Pierre repeated the position of the U.S. administration that Washington does not support attacks inside of Russia.

"We have been focused on providing Ukraine — as you've heard from the President, as you've heard from National Security Advisor and many colleagues from the NSC, my colleagues from the NSC — with the equipment and training they need to retake their own sovereign territory," Jean-Pierre said.

She also reminded journalists that Russia's 17th round of airstrikes on Kyiv took place on Tuesday.

"Russia started this unprovoked aggression, this unprovoked war against Ukraine. Russia can end this at any time," Jean-Pierre said.

According to Russian media reports, about 25 drones attacked Moscow and its suburbs on May 30.
