Seventy-nine bodies of fallen defenders returned to Ukraine

Seventy-nine more bodies of the fallen defenders have been brought back to Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Temporarily Occupied Territories Reintegration Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The transfer of bodies from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine took place with the assistance of the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under the Ukrainian Temporarily Occupied Territories Reintegration Ministry in cooperation with security agencies. It is worth noting that the transfer of bodies of the fallen soldiers is carried out in accordance with the Geneva Conventions,” the report states.

The bodies of the fallen Ukrainian warriors will be handed over to their relatives for honorable funeral procedures.
