In the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy up to seven lightweight motorboats and boats of the enemy every day.

"For several weeks, they [invaders] were coming to every yard [local residents’ houses], collecting these boats. The reason is that our counter-battery missions are quite effective. In fact, every day we destroy five to seven lightweight motorboats and boats which they are trying to present as their river fleet. But these boats are needed to maneuver between islands ... they try to bypass their own minefields," Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command "South", said during the United News telethon.

According to her, the Russian troops, when mining the coast, did not expect that the water would rise so much and they would have to return there again, and now it is possible only by water. "They are trying to find a surface method," Humeniuk said.

At the same time, according to her, local residents damage their property so that it does not serve the enemy.

"Local residents are very resourceful and react very quickly. They deliberately damage their boats so that they do not serve the occupiers. If they [the occupiers] need boats, it will be only to swim to the right bank and surrender," the spokesperson said.

In addition, Humeniuk said that the enemy has recently been trying to terrorize not only the coastal zone but also settlements located deep in the territory with the help of drones. She called on citizens not to ignore the air raid alerts.

As reported, Ukrainian intelligence does not observe the withdrawal of Russian troops from the temporarily captured areas of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. The invaders have amassed 152,000 personnel there and prepare to hold defense.
