Police show aftermath of Russian shelling of Donetsk region

Russian forces shell 13 settlements in Donetsk region over the past day, damaging 46 civilian objects.

This was reported by the regional police department, according to Ukrinform.

"Over the past day, the occupiers launched 27 fire attacks. The police recorded the aftermath of the shelling in 13 settlements... 46 civilian objects were damaged: 25 residential buildings, a cinema, workshops of an enterprise, a gym, office premises, farm buildings, garages, transport," the report says.

As noted, Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, the settlements of Velyka Novosilka, New York, the villages of Umanske, Dibrova, Novoselivka Persha, and Druzhba came under enemy fire. Russian troops used an S-300 system, Grad, Smerch MLRS, artillery, mortars, as well as launched airstrikes.

In particular, the Russians shelled Toretsk with Smerch MLRS and artillery, targeting a residential sector and injuring 10 local residents.

The invaders fired an S-300 missile at Sloviansk - an elderly woman was killed and another person was injured. Two apartment blocks and five private houses, a garage, and cars were damaged.

The occupiers also launched a missile attack on Kostiantynivka, injuring a civilian and damaging an apartment block, a cinema, a gym, and an enterprise.

The enemy fired two S-300 missiles at Kramatorsk, targeting an enterprise.

According to the regional police department, criminal proceedings have been launched under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported, Russian forces killed one civilian and injured 12 more in Donetsk region on May 11.
